Discussion Questions

1. How should Christians treat other believers who do not share the same opinion on mask wearing?  How can Hawaii Kai Church experience true unity even when we don’t all agree on the mask issue?
2. Why is it critical that the church today continues to follow Jesus’ emphasis on the proclamation of the Gospel, rather than focusing on things such as feeding the poor, miraculous healings, or the maximization of other social justice issues?
3. How would you respond to people who accuse the Apostle Paul and Christianity in general of being anti-women?  How does our passage today elevate the first century status of women?
4. Jesus willfully lived a life completely dependent upon others to support Him. The noblest life that was ever lived upon earth, was the life of a poor man.  What does this tell you about worldly wealth, status, and earthly power?  Why does Jesus give His followers the opportunity to serve and give to Him even though He doesn’t need anything?
