Discussion Questions
- How are Christians blessed when they hear the word of God and keep it? Think about a difficult command from Jesus (e.g. seek ye first the kingdom of God, love your wives as Christ loves the church, submit to your husbands, love your enemies, etc.); how does obedience to these commands bring a blessing?
- Why do you think Jesus condemned “this generation” as evil for seeking after signs? Why will ancient Ninevites and the “queen of the South”, rise up at the judgment and condemn such people?
- What is the danger of always hearing, but never keeping the Word of God? In what way(s) do you need to start keeping the Word of God that you have heard?
- Is faith in God dependent upon evidence such as the signs and wonders performed by Jesus? Why or why not? If not, how does a person come to faith in Jesus as Lord and Savior?
