Sermon Discussion Questions:
- What does it take for a person to be saved? Is it difficult to be saved? Why or why not? Do you think it takes a miracle to be saved?
- In the Bible the Greek word “hagios” - translated as “saint” in English - means holy, or set apart for God. Think about the Christians you know, and think about yourself in particular. Would you describe Christians as ‘holy’? Why or why not. What makes a person ‘holy’?
- Does God still do miraculous healings today? If so, why are there so many sick, crippled, suffering and dying people in this world? What do you think is the ultimate purpose for God’s divine miracles?
- Knowing the kind of person you are, what do you think would happen to you if you suddenly had the power to heal and raise the dead back to life? Why is it so important for Christians to understand that their power source is found only in God?
- Do you think you pray enough? Why or why not? What does your prayer life reveal about you?
- Why is humility before God and before man, so important if the gospel is to be spread to the ends of the earth?
