Sermon Discussion Questions:
1. How do you think God’s church is built and spread throughout the world? Has the method and strategy changed since the time of the book of Acts? Explain.
2. Imagine if you were persecuted for preaching the gospel; people opposing everything you said and even slandering you personally. How would you respond? What would cause you to keep telling people about Jesus, in spite of the persecution?
3. Think about the gospel message - a Jewish carpenter, who also happens to be the Son of God, is crucified for our sins, is buried, and is then resurrected from the dead. How does the unbeliever respond to this message? How do you think such a message has endured for over two thousand years and has changed countless lives throughout history?
4. What are some ways Satan and the world try to poison people’s minds against Christians and the teaching of God’s word?
5. What is “theology”, and why should all Christians, young and old, study it? What do you think is more important in the spreading of the gospel, sound doctrine and good theology, or miraculous signs and wonders? Explain your answer.
6. What do you think of the following statement: “One of the hardest things in the Christian life is to simply remain a Christian”? What is it that might tempt you to lose your faith? How can you prevent that from happening?
