- Does knowing that God is in complete control of your every circumstance and experience, give you peace, confidence, and assurance? Or does it cause you to doubt His love and care for you? Explain
- A day had scarcely passed between Paul being reassured by Jesus that he would preach the gospel in Rome and then getting word that 40 assassins had taken a vow to kill him. What do you do when God’s word promises one thing but your circumstances seem to scream out something completely opposite?
- What is it about God’s character that helps us find peace and assurance in His providence and sovereign control over every circumstance of life?
- How do you think God helps us move from an intellectual understanding of His sovereign control over our lives, to a real trust in Him that leads to peace?
- On a scale of 1-10, with 1 being “not at all”, to 10 being “completely, 100%”, how well do you know and trust that God is sovereign and in complete control over your life? Explain why.
