Discussion Questions

  1. What does Easter Sunday mean to you personally?  What does it mean to the world?

  2. Similar to Saul of Tarsus, do you know anyone who you’d never thought would become a Christian, but actually did?  What was it about that person (or about Saul) that would make you think he/she could not be saved?  What does their eventual salvation help you to understand about how a person is saved and how should this help your evangelism?

  3. Although becoming a Christian can radically change your life, Christianity is not primarily about how to make your life better, or improving your marriage, or raising good children. What do you think is primary and most important in the Christian faith and why?

  4. What do you think is so significant about God becoming human and dwelling among us?  How does the resurrection declare Jesus to be the Son of God?  Why is the resurrection absolutely necessary for our salvation and hope?

  5. We learned in our sermon that the gospel 1) is for all people; 2) should be obeyed; and 3) is centered around Jesus.  Choose one of the three and explain why it is so important.
